Our Roots
Originally from Florida, Beth has resided in Texas for 12 years. She realized her love of cooking at the early age of 8 and has been in the kitchen ever since. Her passion for food and entertaining grew over the years as her family continued to grow. While Beth was busy nurturing and raising her four children she was experimenting with recipes and honing her culinary and entertaining skills.
Beth counts Julia Child, Ina Garten, and Martha Stewart among her strongest influences. Combining Child's classic techniques and confidence, Garten's simple, bold flavors and natural ingredients and Stewart's versatility and attention to detail. Hospitality and cooking for family and friends evolved into catering, event planning, designing and floral arranging. Beth has been a caterer, event planner, and florist for countless private and corporate events, which eventually led to the opening of Mason & Dixie. Her dedication to fresh, seasonal food and relentless attention to detail is the platform for her success. Mason & Dixie is an opportunity to make a connection with every client/customer and change the way they experience food.
